FAQs
We determine scrap metal prices based on market value in the area. We offer competitive prices and same-day payment. Please contact us if you would like our team members to provide a consultation/quote for your project.
We start by separating scrap metal by type (ferrous and non-ferrous). These metals are then cleaned for the mill --removing iron items from aluminum, for example.
Once all metals have been separated and cleaned, we either crush and bale the specific types of metal, or we ship them loose to the mill where they’ll be melted in a furnace to produce metal sheets or rebar, or cast into molds for other purposes.
Ferrous metals are those that contain iron. You can identify ferrous metals using a magnet; they are typically magnetic due to their iron content. If a metal is attracted to a magnet, it's likely ferrous. Common examples of ferrous metals include steel, cast iron, and wrought iron.
Non-ferrous metals, on the other hand, don't contain significant amounts of iron and are generally not magnetic. Examples of non-ferrous metals include aluminum, copper, and brass.
Our team will be able to assist you with identifying and sorting the metals you bring in.
We can provide hauling services at an additional cost. The cost of hauling can be deducted from your rebate, to reduce or eliminate out-of-pocket costs.
